Q-PLAN North Greece Ltd (www.qplanng.gr) is an innovative and dynamic companyestablished in Thessaloniki in 2000,as a branch of Q-PLANS.A. (founded in 1988 (originally as Q.A. Ltd.) in Athens, which spans the company’s activities in Northern Greece, East Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe. The company is IS0 9001:2000 certified and focuses its activities in the field of management consulting and particularly in (1) the development and implementation of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 / EMAS, ISO 22000, HACCP, OHSAS 18001, ISO 17025, EN 45011, ISO/IEC 17799, etc.), where it is the market leader in Greece. Q-PLAN provides also high quality services with respect to (2) project management, and to (3) the development of strategic, business, commercial and operational plans. In addition, Q-PLAN possesses vast experience in respect to the (4) design, management, co-ordination and monitoring of high complexity projects with international dimension. The customers of the company are organizations and enterprises practically from all business and economic sectors including SMEs, research organisations and laboratories. To mention some: Hellenic Telecommunication Organisation (OTE), 3E (Coca cola industry), Ericsson, Siemens, J&J, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, etc. The company’s high expertise in project management and co-ordination led to its participation in some of the largest projects in respect to the organisation of the Olympic Games of 2004 in Athens.

Since early 2004 the company has been participating in about 10 European-funded projects, while recently it has been selected to elaborate the study (EC contract): «European Research Area (ERA) Co-ordination Initiative in the Field of Enterprise Networking». The study covers all the EU-27 countries plus Turkey.

Indicative participation in FP6 projects (as coordinator):

  • PLATON (SSA, ETI-CT-2005-023315) is a pioneering EU-funded project, which aims to demonstrate the importance that research in Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) can have in the strategic decision-making and in the long-term competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). The project helps SMEs and SME groupings (e.g. SME associations, Chambers, etc.) to participate in EU-funded research projects in the areas of SSH under FP6 (targeted priorities: CITIZENS, Science & Society, Support to Policies) and, under FP7, Theme 8, SSH. www.platonproject.net 

  • PANDA (STREP, FP6-IST-2005-027169) PANDA concerns the development of partnership based business model and of a B2B platform for the ERP/CRM value chain based on the concepts of Request Based Virtual Organisations, Service Level Agreements in the ERP value chain and Multi-Agent Systems. www.pandaproject.com
