Rational: the overall objective of the workshop
The aim of the workshop is to help the networking of researchers and especially find partners for future joint European research proposals in the Information and Communication Technologies and Applications.
Participants from either the private or the public sector will have the opportunity to:
– learn more on the open or forthcoming calls
– Present, discuss and further develop new project ideas
– Meet other organisations & discuss collaboration under the FP7-ICT
The workshop will have three parts.
In the first part of the event participants will learn more on the open and forthcoming calls of FP7 related to the ICT Theme. The aim of this part is to enhance their awareness on the specific objectives of the calls.
During the second part of the networking workshop our objective is to open a platform for the participants, where they can present their proposal ideas (these proposal ideas should be submitted before the event, be evaluated / selected / filtered and improved (if needed) and then finally selected), for which they can search partners. Parallel sessions (4-5) will take place where according to the Challenges of the open or forthcoming calls (FP7-ICT-SEC-2007-1, FP7-ICT-2007-2, and FP7-2007-ICT-C) the participants can present roughly their proposals. The aim of these presentations is to give a rough overview on the objectives of the proposals. Based on these presentations the participants can initiate further (no pre-scheduled) meetings with each other.
In the third part of the workshop pre-scheduled bilateral meetings can take place according to the pre-selections of the participants. During the bilateral meetings the participants can negotiate very briefly further collaboration opportunities, which may include technological cooperation, common proposals etc.
